Yup, got it on both my cards and my authorized user cards so I can double up. (Per user you can only add once.)

Over 100 new offers showed up this morning so if you don’t see it, add enough to get it under 100..logout and back in and continue. Amex still has the 100 offers display nonsense.

Update.  Similar credit now available for 2023. Expires 12/29/2023.  I have a Blue Cash Everday card.

B

I also got the AMEX offer again this year.  The offer language clarifies that you can spend the required $1k in one or more transactions.

My understanding is that having too many cc or credit enquiries with credit agencies can screw up your credit score.

I didn't see this post (responding to my post) last year!  🙂  The answer is that applying for, or having, many credit cards does not necessarily screw up your credit score.  https://frequentmiler.com/how-new-credit-cards-can-impact-your-credit-score/

I have the offer on an Amex card I do not typically use.  My reading of the fine print indicates it can be used for almost nothing except a new booking when you pay at least the $1,000 at one time for that booking (e.g. deposit exceeds $1,000 or pay in full at booking).  It appears that just about everything else is excluded, including onboard purchases, flight ease, cruise cancellation policies, etc.  Good luck to those who try to use it.  Please let us know how it goes.

I copied the offer I received, including the fine print, into this post below.

I agree that the offer is limited to certain expenses associated with new bookings made in the three month period from now until December 29.   I think the acceptable expenses will include things like deposits, cruise fare, port taxes and fees, and prepaid gratuities.  In my AMEX offer some of the exclusions you list above (like flight ease and travel insurance) will also count toward the $1k requirement as long as they are paid for at the time of booking.  And if you make two or more new bookings in the next three months, you can combine those deposits/cruise fare payments together for purposes of reaching the $1k spend requirement.   Of course, folks may have received different offers, so you should look closely at the offer you received.

I will have no problem taking advantage of my offer, since I plan to book a new cruise in the next couple of months and perhaps even two cruises, with the cruises to take place in the first 6 months of 2024.

Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Amex Offers are available for varying and limited periods of time and are dynamic and personalized. If you navigate away from the Amex Offers page, you may see different offers when you return. For questions regarding your Card Account, please call the number on the back of your Card. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. Thanks for the heads up on this.  I haven't had this offer in a long time.  Funnily enough, I just emailed my TA I was thinking of a 2025 Alaska cruise. There is a Mariner shipboard credit bonus for this, I get the AARP bonus, and I have Carnival stock.  I am taking the Have it all package, so all this takes the 100% single supplement sting down a bit.  Plus I am booking a Vancouver to Whittier cruise, and then going on a 20 night Alaska land tour with no single supplement that  will start a few days after the cruise.  I can stay in Whittier and do a few cool day tours while waiting, and then then take transport for $75 to Anchorage.  So I can get to Denali way cheaper than through the cruise line and see more!

I got this on my gold card so just emailed my TA to throw some money at an existing booking. Interesting that it says to spend on the website and cites new bookings, though. I wonder if it will work  if my TA puts it towards a cruise we booked a few months back. Hopefully it does, but if not, I guess I'll ... well, do nothing because it's pretty clear to me anything else we'd want to buy is excluded, but hey, fingers crossed. 🙃

I received the NCL but not the HAL one. I added a few offers to my list to replenish back up to 100 total and hopefully HAL will eventually show up.

Same thing for me. I went thru all the offers and kept refreshing and still nothing on HAL. But got the NCL one. Hopefully will get it soon.

Has anyone seen this offer on their Hilton Honors American Express?

As I understand, these are never available on the cobranded cards. I wouldn't expect to see it on the Hilton card unless that policy has changed.

So excited!  I never seem to hit these things at the right time, but thanks to this thread, I finally caught one!  We've been planning a TA for awhile now and seems the planets aligned with a bunch of perks to sweeten the deal.  We are going October of 2025.....we are still recovering from a month long trip of Europe last year, so this will give us some time to plan!  As soon as I paid the deposit, I got an email from AMEX about the offer.  Thanks for posting this!

Speaking of which, NCL spend $1000 get $200 Amex Offers just dropped.

Thanks for the information about the NCL offer.  I might be interested.

When I was checking on it, I noticed a new Marriott offer.  Spend $250 get a $100 credit.  Might help with a pre-cruise stay.

Well I just used it to book some shore excursions.  Technically it does not meet the terms of the offer but I’ve had it work in the past.  I’ll update if it works!

I assume you purchased the shore excursions separately from your original booking and did not pay for any part of your cruise fare at the same time you purchased the excursions?  If the shore excursions were truly stand alone, that is pretty sweet.

Made our payment today and no email indicating the offer was redeemed yet, but it looks like the transaction hasn't yet posted so might need to wait until it's out of pending status.Looking at the terms on my Amex mobile app, I actually think there's a good chance it works as it mentioned going through your travel advisor being okay and the charge is showing as "Holland America Res", but we'll see. I'll keep an eye on it and report back when I'm certain.
