Liquor purchase in fun shops….on the last night

Will Carnival let you carry any liquor purchased from the fun shops on the last night back to your room with you or are you required to pick it up the morning or debarkation?  Thanks

I was on Horizon in July and we purchased on the last evening and was able to take it back to the room.  I can’t remember the exact time (maybe 6-7pm) but I remember waiting until then to purchase so I could take it immediately.

It varies from cruise to cruise actually. On the Sunshine, earlier this year my purchases were delivered to my room on the last night. Two weeks ago purchases had to be picked up from the library on debarkation morning.

Technically, it depends on the length of your cruise.  Shorter cruises (5 days or less) require you to pick up your purchase on debarkation morning.  It is up to them whether they allow you to take your purchases the last evening back to your room to avoid that.  On longer cruises they deliver to your stateroom the last evening, so you will be able to take all purchases made that last evening with you (after the cut-off time, but I don't know that that is).

On this topic I was recently on Carnival, and the alcohol costs were not very good. I could find similar prices back at home.

Probably true for certain brands at discount stores like Costco or Total Wine.   But the alcohol on ships is duty free so you do save taxes.  There are brands, like Hennessy Pure White, which aren't available in the US, so those are worth it.  And for certain higher end whiskies like Johnny Walker Blue there can be a small savings.
