Is the Compass Rose Restaurant open every day for lunch?

 

Does anyone have a sample lunch menu?

It depends on what ship you are on.  Explorer and Splendor do not open Compass Rose at lunch time.  These ships open either Prime 7 or Chartreuse, though not on Embarkation Day.

 

The other three ships do open Compass Rose at lunch from what I remember.

WOW! First, i really appreciate seeing the menu. Thanks for that. The photos are an extra bonus ....to have such research in real time! Can't beat that!

I adore a great croque madam,  they don’t do a great job and the picture shows a very dry looking thing.   I would never order again.  My opinion.

I have not had a croque m/m before, so take my opinion with that in mind.  DH and I have shared the croque madame twice on our current cruise, and we loved it.  It was very moist and delicious.  But way too much for one person, IMO.

If you ever get a real one in France or a great bistro,  you will understand my comments.  They can be rather filling, but the one on Regent,  has way to much bread and the egg should be a bit runny.   It’s food,  we all have diffferent tastes!

The egg was very runny.  The white was only half cooked, and the yolk was essentially raw.

Well, either our tastes are very different or you had a poor experience.

This Croque Madame was moist, lots more ham & cheese than bread and with a perfectly runny egg.
