Shore Ex question

Hi, We are sailing with Regent for the first time.

For now we are wait listed with two shore excursions.

However, if we book an alternative shore ex on the wait listed day, would the newly booked shore excursion cancel the wait listed shore excursion (Our first choice)?

Thank you!

Kate

We currently have a shore ex booked and our preference on waitlist.  So when/if the waitlist clears they should cancel the booked one and replace it with the waitlisted one and charge/refund any difference if any.  If you can't do it online your TA or you can call regent to do it.

We had an excursion booked and another waitlisted for the same time on our current Mariner voyage.  The waitlist cleared before embarkation, and we ended up with tickets for both delivered to our cabin.  We turned  in the extra ones at the Destinations desk.

The same sort of thing happened to us. The wait list cleared weeks in advance, but our schedule still had both excursions on it. I called Regent and canceled the back up excursion. Now our schedule only has the one we want, but were wait listed for.

If you read the description when you wait list, it says that Regent will assume you want the waitlisted tour and will cancel the back up tour, but that doesn't actually seem to be the case. The agent I spoke with told me that they won't cancel your back up automatically -- you have to do it one way or another.

Oddly, we were allowed to wait list two excursions for one port, plus we have a back up excursion booked. If both the wait lists clear, we'll need to cancel the two tours we don't want.
