Drop off, pick up Ft. Lauderdale Port

How easy is it to be dropped off, the picked up at Ft. Lauderdale port?

How does the droo off driver get thru security to drop us off, then return to pick us up?

Very easy.  They can drive right up to the baggage drop off.  Then you just walk into the terminal.

Also, picking you up is easy. There is an area where private cars or ride share can meet you.  Right outside the terminal. 

 

Would be helpful if you asked for a specific cruise line or terminal at FLL.

I’m referring to Princess Terminal 2.

Just make sure everyone in the vehicle is prepared to show official ID at the security entrance* to the port.  Unprepared passengers hold up the lines.  You will be asked which ship you are sailing. 

 

*Two terminals - 2 (Princess) and 4 - when approached from 17th Street have entrances before port security.

I agree with PacnGoNow and capriccio.  It was not difficult for a friend to drop me off or pick me up at Terminals 19 and 26.  Having ID ready and knowing which ship one is going to speeds up the entry process into the port.

"Bring government-issued photo ID. Anyone 18-years-old and older must produce a government-issued photo ID (such as a drivers license or passport) at the security checkpoint before entering the Port."
