has anyone else seen the violinist Maria Neglia?

If so what did you think?....... I absolutely fell in love with her talent. And she is SUCH a character. We saw her on Jewel of the Seas in September on a 10 night. She was the second nights entertainment and stayed on board the rest of the cruise because we kept running into her. I can only guess she is in her 70's and about 3 and a half feet tall..... funny and MAN CAN SHE PLAY!

 

I ended up buying her CD and I still listen to it in my car VERY regularly.....

 

I would almost book another cruise based on the fact that I knew she would be on, but I don't think there is anyway to find out ahead of time who the entertainers will be? I am sure she cruises other lines, but I hope and hope I come across her again someday!!

We have seen her on a couple of cruises. She certainly is one of a kind. We enjoyed her act and she is definitely a very talented violinist.

:) We just saw Maria Neglia on the Radiance and she was fantastic. I too, wish there was a way to find out what the entertainment is going to be on the ships but half the fun is the surprise element. I guess you could find some of her schedule by going to her fan site. I've read that she's in her 80's. If so, I wish I had half her energy. If you get a chance to see her perform don't miss her show.

Yes, we saw her a few years back, she was fabulous. I bought two of her cds, one for me and one for my mom. Hope to be able to enjoy her live performance again.

I saw Maria Neglia on the Enchantment in March 2011 on a 9 night cruise from Baltimore. She brought down the house. My companion remembers seeing her on the Ed Sullivan show.

Yes we saw her a couple of years ago. We thought she was fantastic. Many fellow cruisers decided not to attend because they didn't like violin. After the show they were sorry when they heard how entertaining she was.

Met her on the Explorer in November. She told me she was entertaining that night and I thought she was joking. She was great. What a pleasant surprise.

We saw her on Explorer in Nov also. We then rode in the elevator down from the Windjammer the day we were in St. Thomas. She was with Marty Allen and his wife Kate Blackwell,(it was just DH and I and them on the elevator). She was an excellent performer, but she has quite an attitude and I'm thinking was quite the Diva in her day. Marty and Kate were very, very personable and friendly, but Maria, wasn't very friendly. Marty and Kate were flying out of St. Thomas that day but she stayed onboard. She really is about 4 feet tall.
