eargal Posted October 31, 2022 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2022 Hi there! Looking forward to my first MSC cruise in January and will be in the Yacht Club. Does YC come with a beverage package? What is/is not included? Thank you.

In the YC lounge, this is also predominantly the case but it does include also a handful of drinks that elsewhere on the ship might be as much as 15 or 16. Another consideration is that within the YC you are more likely to see the YC Director authorize the bartender to serve drinks that may go above the set limit. On Caribbean sailing the YC’s are now instituting rum tastings in the afternoon. There will likely be some pricey bottles tested. Don’t forget that there will always be a real champagne available in the Topsail or One Bar. No need to settle for the Prosecco if you would prefer champagne.

We had Premium Extra earlier this year and it was $15. I suspect the page you posted was transitional language from the period of drink package changes and IT never cleaned up the text. Or, they are going back to $13 and haven't cleaned up the page I posted. Typical.

When I have sailed in the YC on my Caribbean cruises, they have never even asked for my card when I ordered drinks. I have ordered things that were well beyond the $13 or $15 limit of the premium package and they never asked for my card and never charged me. lsw9658 Posted November 5, 2022 #14 Share Posted November 5, 2022 With the coffee drinks, is that just within the Yacht Club? I think I remember that there’s a place or two where the package doesn’t apply. Help a newbie!

The rums for the "rum tasting" this past week on Divina were Pyrat, Santa Theresa, Zacapa, Appleton, and one other that I can't remember. Lovely setup with some different chocolate or other small bites to enhance the rum flavors. All better than average but nothing over the top or extra special or any well aged rums.. it's set up nicely on a trolley with white linens, etc. Nice addition, but nothing we haven't drunk plenty of already.. and a bit of a laugh when we knew more about a couple of the rums than the server holding the tasting .. 😉
