Has anyone been on elite cruise recently?

Trying to understand when I can expect to choose the perks we are 30 days out now

Thanks

Email arrived Wednesday the 9th for my Elite cruise scheduled for Dec 5th. I had until the 15th to reply.

We have an elite cruise November 26th and it’s November 14th and we still haven’t received our email about the perks. I called about a week ago and Carnival said they don’t send those out until the week of the sailing because people keep changing their choices. Has anyone heard of that? This is our first elite cruise so I have no past experience with this. But everyone keeps saying that they’ve gotten theirs 2-3 weeks out. We are 12 days out and still nothing. Ugh I don’t know what to do. Maybe I should call again.

Can someone elaborate on the meaning of ‘elite’?  We’re sailing in a free interior (double occupancy) with $200 OBC and ‘drinks on us’ while playing in the casino.  Paid for taxes, fees, and port expenses.  Would that be considered an elite cruise?

There's different "levels", Getaway or something, Ultra, and Elite at least. Elite includes bottles of liquor and such delivered to your room etc... Ultra includes in room carnival branded gifts, desserts, and tournament entries.

The casino has a million offers that they send out. They also have invite only offers that have additional benefits.

Premier Cruise - They have drawings and games in the casino just for Premier guests. Usually you get some swag in your room.

Ultra Cruise - Step up from premier, has less invites and better odds for drawings and games. Also every invitee gets an envelope Containing a prize. From previous cruises, prizes ranged from like $100 Fun Play all the way up to iPads and 50 inch tvs.

Elite Cruise - Most exclusive of the casino cruises. Includes a lot of additional perks such as free airport transfers, free drinks everywhere onboard the ship for you and a guest, free bottle of booze and mixers sent to your room, free excursion, etc.

You should definitely call again. We received our email on October 25th for our November 21 Celebration sailing.

I sent an email to the casino host. If I don’t hear back by tomorrow I’ll call. Thanks for the info

How many different Elite offers have people been getting?  The ones I had a few months ago were F2E and included $300 in FunPlay credit.  The offers a couple weeks ago were F1E and didn't include any FunPlay credit, but all of the other perks were the same as F2E.

Mine are F5E - free suite and $2500 in free play. Also have EE5 - Australia Elite with free suite and $4000 AUD free play.

If you know you booked an Elite cruise and you don’t get an email about your perks like I did, don’t call Carnival. I called Carnival 2 weeks before my cruise and they incorrectly informed me that the email about the perks doesn’t get sent out till the week of your cruise. Which honestly sounded suspicious to me that they’d wait till the week of the cruise to set up airport transfers, order liquor, put credits into your account, etc. So of course it was no surprise that they were wrong. I’m glad so many of you posted here on the boards that you got your Elite perks email 3 weeks before the cruise and urged me to contact someone about it. Yesterday I sent an email to the casino host and he called me today. He was very apologetic and set everything up for me over the phone. Had I not called I probably would have been overlooked and wouldn’t have gotten those perks. I picked out a nice wine and some juice and sodas for our cabin. We got a $300 credit added to the spa for us. And I set up airport transfers to and from the ship. I’m so relieved to get all of that done. Setting up airport transfers was worrying be the most with the cruise only 12 days away. Learn from my mistakes and contact the casino host, not Carnival.

Are you allowed to book multiple cruises with the Elite offer? Also what kind of perk options do you choose from? TIA

Yes. I booked two from the latest round of offers. Perks include: Platinum status for you and your guest, drinks everywhere on board, a free shore excursion (or spa credit), black car service between hotel or airport and port (or parking at the port), 2 free bottles of your choice of alcohol in your cabin, waived room service fees, free Social wifi package, Drinks On Us everywhere on board for you and your guest, treats delivered to the cabin, a goodbye gift and priority debarkation, and usually dinner at a specialty restaurant. Ours included a free suite and $2500 free play. Past offers (for me) included a free balcony and $1000 free play.
