@CTGirl74You don’t need any converters or even other power plugs.  They have 2 US outlets.  The only time you will need anything additional is if you need to plug in more than 2 devices.  I had that other plug from my travels to South Africa, so I use it as 2 extra USB plugs only.  I will post a picture later of something that may be useful if you need more than 2 US outlets

Thanks! Yes, I will definitely need to plug in more than two devices. 🙂 I think was threw me off was the mention of an electric razor, which my husband uses. I don't use a blowdryer or any other electric grooming tools.

This kind of plug will work for you to charge multiple devices - you just can’t have a surge protector (I hope you can see the image as it is not loading for me right now):

You posted a picture of the power plugs in your room--thank you! I now know which plug adapter I need to buy for our cruise next Fall. But I'm wondering if there is a need for a power converter. If so, when would something like that be needed?

When I was looking at adapters on Amazon, many of them say that they're not power voltage converters. Here's an example:

"This is NOT A CONVERTER. This plug adapter is only compatible for 110V-250V wide voltage device, If you want to use your hair dryer, straightener, electric toothbrush or razor, they MUST support 110V-250V Dual Voltage, otherwise you may need a power voltage converter."

I feel a bit dumb that I can't figure this out, so any help you (or anyone else) can give me would be great. Thanks!

Hi.  I have had this in my suitcase for every cruise since 2018.  It is a life saver for people like me who have way too many devices!!

APDMOM.....someone posted that there is a marathon on Sunday and to avoid RTE 1, I hate 95, we always go Rte 1 south, takes us about 2 hours, but I guess 95 it is.  Just thought I would let you know, marathon starts in cocoa village and heads north and south on rte 1.

https://www.spacecoastmarathon.com/

We love route 1 also!  We will have to stay on the ship as long as possible 😁 (But not too long that we delay clearance)!

Ships in Port:

We docked at Punta Langosta, but this is not guaranteed.  Our room steward shared that Meraviglia does not often dock here  - they usually need to take a taxi to MEGA, but this time it was an easy walk to the supermarket.

Carnival Conquest, Carnival Valor, Allure of the Seas, Norwegian Breakaway and Celebrity Reflection all joined us.  We were the only ship at Punta Langosta.

MEGA and Port Views:

Mega is a lot like WalMart, but we have fun walking around to see what they sell.  Since the price of flip flops has increased so much in the USA, I decided to buy a pair (“Hecho en Mexico”)here.

TIP: Ask your room steward and diningroom staff if they need chips or cookies from MEGA, if you think of it.  They try to go there to do their shopping - especially water, since it is expensive for them to buy water on the ship ($11 for 6 bottles).  Even better, give them an additional cash tip to buy what they want.

When you get off the ship, turn right to get to MEGA - just about a block away.

Across from MEGA is the Barracuda Hotel. You can walk through to get to their bar and to get great pictures of the ship from that angle.  We did this one time on a past visit.

A lot has changed in the three years since we were last here.  There are lots of run down buildings and our port restaurant has been replaced by some new restaurant.

We did not do an excursion this time, but I want to borrow from my Harmony of the Seas 201 review to post about one of our favorite cruise memories.  We did the “Trikes Cozumel” Tour (not a ship excursion).  My parents went with us and we had a blast.

TIP: So, if you are looking for a great excursion in Cozumel, I highly recommend Trikes.

A few views of breakfast in the Marketplace Buffet:

They do have smoked salmon some mornings.  They also have a variety of fresh pastries that are addictive.  Otherwise, they have the normal breakfast fare with lots of options for fruit, yogurt, different kinds of egg, and DH’s favorite Muesli.

I think that poster might have been wrong, I did some research and I think the marathon route is along 515, might still impact rte 1 but we are gonna take a chance.

We actually came down route 1 last week and there was a big temporary electronic traffic sign that said to expect delays on 11/27 between 7 AM and 10AM due to a marathon.  So, even if there is traffic, it should be mostly cleared up by 10 AM.  Just got our luggage tags for a departure time of 9:40.  So, I think we will be okay getting out via Route 1.  🙂

There are donuts on the kids menu for the MDR, but I have not seen any in the buffet.  They do have lots of cake and sweet breakfast treats - nothing I tried though.

Himalayan Bridge:

DS did the Himalayan Bridge again.  It was just slightly more busy with 4 people on the course, but nothing like on a sea day.

TIP: Try to do this on a port day - sea days have long lines and slow going due to inexperienced children trying the ropes course.  It can get really hot waiting for the person in front of you to clear the line.

WOW! An empty hot tub on a port day.  This one is actually a bit of a ‘hideaway’.  I bet most people on the ship never even discovered it.

TIP:  Find this treasure of a hot tub by the Horizon Pool Bar on the Starboard (Right) side.

Forgot to post our breakfast in Waves (MDR) from the morning… DS and I ordered from the kids’ menu.  We were given extra Nutella on the side, so this has more than enough Nutella! 😁

TIP:  Look at the kids’ menu in the MDR - some of your favorites may be hidden there!

Buffet Lunch:

TIP:  Don’t miss out on the pizza - it is truly very good, especially the variety of mozzarella pizza.  Also, when you enter the buffet and go just slightly to the first station on the left, you can always find some kind of ‘pot pie’.  We really enjoyed that.  Here are some of our favorites.
