Dinner in the MDR:

DH decided to order 2 main dishes, served at the same time (His standard salmon, as well as shrimp and grits).  Most dishes were good, but the grits with the ‘shrimp and grits’ was a bit too cheesy for our taste.  It had cheddar cheese - would have loved to try it with mozzarella cheese.

The arroz con leche was not sweet enough in my opinion, but I have a super sweet tooth.

This was soaked in rum and delicious.  The coconut ice cream was a good compliment to the cake.

Show: BORN TO ROCK

The performers knocked this one out of the park!  It is hard to believe this is the same group that we saw the first night.  Tonight’s performance was close to perfection (minus a malfunctioning mic at the beginning).  It was one of the best performances I have seen at sea!  I had goosebumps several moments during the show, it was so good.

I would love for this young lady to take on a Reba McIntyre song - especially “You Lie!” Her voice is stunning!

I did snorkel off North Beach along the rocks. It was fun and I saw a lot of small fish and anemones.

Did you notice that Seakers Family Cove is listed on the map now?

Thank you for sharing about the snorkeling by the rocks! 😎

Yes, we noticed Family Cove, but it was still roped off and closed when we were there.

Oops. I meant that Seakers Family Cove is NOT listed on the map anymore. I really should proofread. I was on the cruise before you and did a review.

Ah, so it may change to something else?  Interesting…

Yesterday, our “at sea day”, the internet was  very poor - the worst we have had at sea in many years. I don’t know if it was just overwhelmed with such a large passenger crowd, or what?

I will start posting soon about these last 2 days, but wanted to skip ahead to share this development from today… Christmas trees are shooting up here and there!  🙂

I hope you don’t get tired of my wake view!! We spent much of the day on the balcony.  This cruise has a strong “spring break” feel to it.   As mentioned before, there are over 1,000 kids and teens on our sailing. They don’t bother us - in fact one of my favorite events of the day involved watching little ones have fun on the dance floor.  It is just that every public space can get very crowded with this many children and teens, because they are all attached to many adults 😜

I started the day with coffee and a snack on the balcony for room service - I personally think the room service coffee is the best free coffee at sea:

I had planned on buying some cosmetics tax free on the ship, but noticed the prices are more than on land when I order directly from Estée Lauder.  So, I will wait and see what the prices are on Celebrity Reflection next month.

Dome Show: World Tour

It is interesting that the done shows have not changed in 3 years.

Not only a great view, but a soothing sound:

We love the sound of the wake, that's why we always book aft facing, that's also why I like the bed by the balcony.  Many of the new ships don't have many aft facing cabins, guess we won't be sailing on them😝

Wonderful review, congrats!...

Ocean Cay is becoming to be one of the best private islands industry wise. Hope they retain it as it is right now.

MSC's version of "Arroz com Leche", in Portuguese "Arroz-Doce" or "sweet rice" in direct English translation falls under the category of "no sugar added dessert" and as you described it's not sweet enough to make justice to the recipe. I had it once and it was enough. It's a Spanish recipe with many versions here in Portugal as well, so I have far better than that elsewhere. Me thinks, it's as just rice, milk cream and cinnamon mixed with no "linking element" to the base. Sometimes I enjoy their no sugar added desserts for sugar intake control, but that one could have been dropped away from menus for years!...

Have a nice day!...

Thank you for sharing!  As someone who can eat Dolce de Leche straight from the can, it is definitely not sweet enough 😂

We ventured to lunch in the buffet despite the ‘sea day’ crowds.  It was still not too bad and we were able to find a table outside at the back of the buffet again.

Some views of the busy ship: Main pool

This looks like a nice spot to view the ocean if you don’t have a balcony - it is on deck 18 close to the Horizon Bar.

Today was the Welcome Back Party on the Galleria Meraviglia.

TIP:  Show up at least 15 minutes early.  They allowed people into the roped off area early and we just barely got the last table for 3 in the Meraviglia bar.
