mikebsxm Posted November 29, 2022 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2022 (edited) I am flying from Philadelphia to Venice in June 2023. My flight connection is in Toronto. I assume my luggage will be forwarded onto the Venice flight on Air Canada. Will I have to clear Canadian immigration, or will I be just transiting, and no clearance needed?? My flight from PHL is also Air Canada express. Edited November 29, 2022 by mikebsxm

CruiserBruce Posted November 29, 2022 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2022 You will transit, but still show a passport to a machine, which will print a pass into the "in transit" area. Your luggage will be checked to Venice...you won't see it in Toronto.
DogLover Posted December 1, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2022 Here's the Air Canada guide for transit connections in Toronto for US-International. We did a connection like this in August from Phoenix to Vancouver, then on to Brisbane Australia - it was seamless and very smooth. https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/fly/at-the-airport/airport-information/toronto-pearson-international-airport/us-int.html#/
