Beverage Package Update?

There was a thread a while ago that why were testing ‘just pay the difference’ for drinks over the $$ allowance for the signature beverage package on the Westerdam. 
Has anyone had any experience of this being rolled out on other ships yet? I think it’s be a great addition.

We’re leaving on the Rotterdam next week.

Yes. It has been reported by several people on many threads the "just pay the difference" policy is in effect.

New policy on the Koningsdam last week.  Signs were posted at a number of bars notifying folks of the change.  

 

I ordered a more expensive glass of wine at the Pinnacle Grill.  My account was charged the difference plus 18% tax.

It was in effect on NS last week.

To clarify, the 18% is gratuity, not tax.

 

This policy was in effect on Rotterdam when I left on November 20, 2022.

Would be nice if they gave us the different between an expensive drink and my Diet Coke…lol
