Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted December 2, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2022 If I were booked, I'd attempt to visit the Dead Sea even if I had to book the tour outside of X
Crazy planning mom Posted December 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2022 We sailed to Israel on another cruise line in October. We were there for 2 days. The first day we booked a cruise line excursion- the Dead Sea and Masada. We specifically booked a cruise line excursion for the first day because Israeli immigration process is longer and cruise line excursions had first priority. The 2nd day we booked a private tour with Guided Tours Israel and cant recommend them enough. They were great to deal with, we saw what we wanted, and made sure we got back with plenty of time.
Lastdance Posted December 2, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2022 We also just traveled to Israel, using a private tour company that we found online, after lots of research. It is wonderful having your own private guides, along with your own itinerary, but you pay a lot this way. We did the same in Russia and were not disappointed. So since you went through immigration your first day in Israel, the subsequent days you could easily disembark without going through immigration again even if it’s a different port in Israel? thanks! cruisinsusin Posted December 3, 2022 #10 Share Posted December 3, 2022 Booking with a private tour guide allows you to see and do so much more than the cruise shore excursions- it does cost more but so worth it. We have toured with Moti Bar-Tuv at travel-israel.info on 2 separate visits and really enjoyed our trips.
