Sold Out Through RC

Hi- the excursion I wanted to book through the cruise line is now sold out :-(. Basically, want to visit a monkey/slot park and the iguana park...will there be (safe, reliable, good) vendors selling excursions like this when we get off the ship in Roatan? Or is it really something that should be pre-booked?

There are several independent local tour companies, but I can recommend Bodden Tours from past cruises.  Great guides, good tours and I am sure that they can take care of you.  They will customize a trip for you and a lot cheaper than the cruise lines.
