Gift Card

Hoping someone might know the answer to this as I can’t find it online. My son and his husband are sailing in February. I want to get them a gift card for Hanukkah to use on the ship for whatever they want. Drinks, spa etc. I see where I can buy a gift card but it doesn’t specify if it can be used on the ship. Any info is appreciated.

You can call and purchase sailor loot for them. Sailor loot can be used for almost anything on the ship. If they used a travel agent, the TA can help you out.

Is sailor loot that I call and purchase refunded if I don't use it all ?

Sailor loot (and bar tab) are use it or loose it.

THANKS SO MUCH for the info !!!!   In that case, I will not be buying any sailor loot in advance.  I was hoping to do it to avoid having to bring cash.  Related question: can sailor loot be used in the casino ?

Sailor loot can be used for casino play, but cannot be cashed out at the casino.

@rebeccac Sorry to bring up such an old post, but could you explain what this means?  Can I use Sailor Loot in the slot machines? I am used to Carnival where I can draw down the money, put it in my player's bank, then move from machine to machine, or cash it out to use on tables. Does Virgin work the same way?

You can use loot to play, either on machines or as promotional chips for the tables. But you cannot turn promotional credit into cash, only winnings can be cashed out.
