Glasses at Martini Bar on The Edge

We recently returned from The Edge.  We normally had our pre dinner cocktail at the Martini bar.  We had the premium package for what that matters ….   Half the time we were served in the smaller clunkier glasses.  So we started asking for the larger Reidel glasses.  Sometimes with success sometimes not.  One server told us they aren’t being used as much anymore because they are too breakable.  Any similar experience out there?   To me that was a major perk of the martini bar!

Currently on board Solstice and it seems that all of the bars have moved to the small martini glasses. The martini bar has been mixed. Last night on the first round it was the smaller glasses. Second round, they moved back to the larger glasses.

Last week on beyond they had large martinis glasses but in Eden they were much smaller, I found that strange.

The Martini Bar has always had larger martini glasses than those at the other bars.

For awhile the Martini bar was not included as a bar  for the Elite Happy Hour drinks, the martinis on HH  menu are the standard size.   When they changed to allowing the CC drinks to be provided at the Martini bar they then stocked the standard size glass at the bar.  So now they have 2 sizes of glasses (3 on some ships).  It seems if they are busy and run out a 1 size they use the size available.

We realized that if the server/waiter who came to our seat brought us the martini, it was the smaller glasses. Apparently, THEY made the martini. However, if you were served by the martini bar staff (who do WONDERFUL shows), they prepared the martini and it was in the larger, Reidel glasses.
