Ship to JFK Airport

Hello. We are disembarking at Manhattan Cruise Terminal in NYC. What have you found to be the best strategy for two of us getting from the ship to JFK for a 3:00 PM flight out?  Cruise ship shuttle vs. taxi vs. Uber vs. whatever? Thanks.

Suggest yellow cab .... if none available when you disembark just walk (with luggage) one avenue over to 11th ave.

I'd have a leisurely breakfast, then disembark after the rush, pick up a yellow taxi to JFK, maybe grab a light lunch at JFK -- getting off the ship at about 10:00 would get you to JFK at about noon, so your timing is close to ideal.
