Take the train from Casablance to Marrekech ?

The title says it all.

 

We will be in Casablanca from 8am to 10 pm and it looks like the train takes about 2 1/2 hours each way.

 

Anyone with experience willing to chime in ?

Well, I certainly hope you get a more recent experience, but I can tell you that my wife and I were on this line in 2008 and had a pleasant enough time. We rode the reverse route from Marrakech through Casablanca and on to Fez. First class tickets, compartment clean and comfortable and service was on time. No problems or issues I can recall whatsoever.

It looks pretty straightforward and the train looks nice, but we were wondering about personal experiences.

We’ve never taken that train but sounds like it might be interesting way to get out of Casablanca.  Hope you get some answers from those that have done it.

My son and I did this in June. It was our favorite port day ever. The hardest part is getting out of the port, as it is a long way to the gate. I would recommend you take a taxi from the ship to the train station. And make sure you don't go to the station close to the post. Go to Station Casa Voyougers. (Sp)

@chaparro28906  I am interested in hearing more about your favorite port day ever! Could you give details of how your day went?

I ask because, while we made the most of our day in Casablanca, it was our least favorite port day ever comparatively speaking. So I am very interested in how you planned and what you did, for future reference.
