Sadly, my travel agent passed away last week. She was a single agent franchise owner. I have an open booking thru her for a Princess Alaskan Cruise/tour in August 2023. I have reached out to the franchise company and am waiting to hear back from them. Has anyone had this or a similar experience and if so, what did you do and how did it turn out? Thank you!

For this cruise you might want to go through Princess to get a Personal Cruise Consultant.  Explain to Princess the situation and they will work with you on the transfer. It may take a supervisor to handle the situation.

I would not be so quick to take any new agent a franchise would assign.  I would ask friends and other passengers for a referral. We are not allowed to give referrals on Cruise Critic

If the franchise will provide  someone to take over your current booking  with any perks intact  see what they come up with  if not contact Princess & have them take over your  booking  you will lose any perks the agent was giving you  but you will still have the cruise
