Susanb10567 Posted December 23, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2022 How is the retreat waiting area in the port of Miami…my last couple of cruises have been at Fort Lauderdale and are familiar with the facilities…we just chose a 10:30 check in time and wondering if we should get there that early. kenb Posted December 24, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 24, 2022 We got to the pier at 10:30 and snagged someone pushing wheelchairs. They rushed us in and check in took a matter of minutes. We did pass the lounge as they rolled my wife on board. It appeared there was some snacks and beverages there. They asked if we wanted to rest in the lounge and we said no. A few minutes later we were in our suite ready to head to Luminae for lunch.
bigbenboys Posted December 24, 2022 #3 Share Posted December 24, 2022 Suite guest do not have to show up at their signed time. Show up when you want. Luminae is normally open from noon to 1:30.
wrk2cruise Posted December 25, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 25, 2022 There is a lounge for suite guests in the terminal. It's way in the back past all the checkin stations to the left of the escalators.
Sam.Seattle Posted December 25, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 25, 2022 Miami, right? is the terminal being discussed? I searched unsuccessfully for video of terminal G at the port of Miami. The descriptions above sound like the Port Everglades terminal.

It's just a small room with some seats, nothing impressive. 2

That terminal is soon to be leveled and a new terminal will go up to accommodate an ICON class ship.
Rare asnaleah Posted December 25, 2022 #8 Share Posted December 25, 2022 We didn’t have to wait. We were checked in and escorted to the ship in a matter of minutes.

I will miss the unique roof that resembles tents.
