  1. We took the air credit from RSSC and booked our own business class seats on Iceland - saved $600 pp. You just have to check for yourself and see what’s the best value for you. Traveling from Chicago does give us a lot of options.
  2. So sorry you have been ill! Glad you got home safely. Thanks for the great review. We are looking forward to Splendor in July.
  3. No Retreat Sundeck on Eclipse. And the lounge is still Michael’s Club.
  4. Happy sailing to you and Iain! Always enjoy reading about your adventures! Erin
  5. Thanks for this live review Hank! We sail on Vista in January and your comments are wonderful to read.
  6. No. Eclipse has not been redone. Still Michael’s Club. In December, no live music. Actually, barely any live people🤣
  7. @Sirlancelot, are you having any issues with hearing your neighbor’s tv?
  8. Thanks for posting this! The offer was available on our platinum card. I will make an early payment on our January cruise.
  9. @Pcardad, thank you very much for posting the letter. I forwarded it to our TA. As @Bruce61wrote, I am now going to happily anticipate our cruise and stop aggravating myself!
  10. “You got an OBC that was the goodwill gesture...” We have not received any OBC beyond what we already had for booking onboard. My TA just checked yesterday.
  11. We have not received the “goodwill gesture”, only the hotel credit.
  12. I got that email as well. I wonder if all cruises will have that option or only specific cruises.
  13. “The volcano won’t make the cruise impossible, unless there's an ash cloud or something that stops people flying anywhere. Only a fraction of the cruise is in Iceland, so Regent would have to either start it late, or, more likely, start itsomewhere else.” Our entire cruise is Iceland. July 5-15. We also have no hotel or transfers even though we specifically purchased a concierge cabin for this benefit. We have not been offered anything beyond the $300 credit.
  14. Following along with you. Getting my fix until we sail in July.
  15. We also ask our Butler/room steward if there is anything we can bring them when we go ashore. Often, they are not able to get off the ship so this is a nice thing we can do.
  16. We also had the Penthouse C on Voyager and loved our aft location. If you are sensitive to vibrations, I suggest choosing mid ships. But if aft is the only choice, I would take it in a heartbeat.
  17. We are on the July 5 sailing and have to arrange our hotels and transfers due to Regent’s lack of planning. I agree with the OP who wrote if it were the hotel’s fault, Regent should let us know. And why can’t Regent arrange for transfers for us? That has nothing to do with the hotel.
  18. It’s annoying that SM isn’t ship-wide yet. If wine and beer is available to all at dining venues, then we aren’t constantly being “carded”.
  19. Friends of ours stayed for a few days post cruise at the W in Santiago. They enjoyed it.
  20. Perhaps when O Life goes away and everyone has SM, we won’t have to show the card at dining venues.
  21. So the answer is yes, we have to show our card all the time. Certainly not a deal breaker, but annoying.
  22. So, how do the wait staff know who has SM vs O Life? Do we have to show our card at every venue?
  23. We also booked Concierge for the pre cruise hotel in Reykjavik and transfers as well as the extra WiFi devices. I’m very irritated. Happily I have lots of Marriott points so can buy down the cost at Edition. But as another person wrote, I paid for the convenience of not having to arrange every detail. My TA can help and is very responsive but it certainly isn’t her responsibility to cover RSSC’s misdeeds.
  24. I had good GF options but we mainly dined in Luminae. I did have an excellent GF pizza cooked to order at OVC. I brought my own GF crackers and granola.
