Stateroom Times & dinning room times

I’m new to NCL & hear that the staterooms aren’t available until 1:30 pm. If this is so can you at least drop off your carryon?

Is there any dinning room open on Embarkation?  I’ll be on the Getaway.

Lunch will be available in at least one of the Main Dining Rooms (Taste or Savor).

You will have to hold onto your carry-on until the rooms are ready.  If you get on around 11, checkin at your muster station, have a drink and lunch at noon, it’s not that bad.

The ship kindly asks that you do not enter the staterooms until they are ready and an announcement has been made. Usually around 1:30. 
 

Embarkation Lunch

Garden Cafe Buffet

Taste Main Dining Room

Savor Main Dining Room

O’Sheehan’s Bar and Grill

American Diner (weather permitting and extra fee) 

 

General Boarding starts around 11:30 (your documents will say noon).

In any NCL ship if you are booked to a suite or Haven suite you’ll be taken to that ship’s allocated suite restaurant for lunch. For some ships it will be Cagneys, for some it will be the Haven restaurant if that ship has it. In the smaller NCL ships it might even be something else than Cagneys or Haven restaurant. I remember having suite embarkation day lunch at Il Adagio (La Cucina) when we cruised on NCL Sun around 10 years ago. That restaurant served also as the allocated suite breakfast restaurant during the whole cruise. 
 

All of those restaurants serve the standard NCL suite lunch menu regardless of which restaurant the lunch is actually served. If you are cruising in a suite you will be escorted to the ship on embarkation day with other suite passengers in small groups and brought directly to your ship’s allocated suite lunch restaurant.
