You may not like this option, but it is available for those who have later flights out of MIA and who have a little bit of adventure in them:

1) Take Uber/Lyft or shuttle to FLL Airport and get off at Terminal 1 or the Car Rental Center.

2) Take (Free) shuttle to Fort Lauderdale Tri-Rail station. (download free Trai-Rail app for pricing and schedules.   https://blog.shuttlefare.com/tri-rail-fort-lauderdale-airport

3) Purchase ticket to MIA Airport at Tri-Rail ticket booth or vending machine (approx $3.75 pp).

Train goes direct to Miami Airport connecting to all terminals

HAL is showing a shuttle ( no excursion) from Port Everglades to Miami Airport for our Jan. 25 disembarking. Does anyone have experience doing it? How early do we get it?  Flight isn’t until 2 so no problem with time.

We have not done the shuttle direct to MIA, but did do the 'half day' tour of Miami and drop off at MIA.  As far as I recall, we were dropped to MIA by 12.30pm! (our flight was 7pm) I will look through records and see what time we were scheduled to meet at Port Everglades as there was confusion over the 'half day tour bus' and the 'straight to the airport bus' as they were scheduled for same time of departure.

We did just the opposite when we returned from our Transatlantic on the Oosterdam. The story was that there were too many ships at Port Everglades and because the Oosterdam was there one day then leaving for the season heading to South America, we disembarked in Miami. HAL offered a bus transfer to FLL. There were quite a few buses and it left soon after we disembarked. I would think that HAL will have at least two scheduled times at FLL for the buses. That is what they did in Venice transfering passengers to Trieste to embark this past summer.
