chuckbaaa Posted January 6, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2023 We are on a TA cruise to Tampa. We can book air out of TPA no problem. My question is FOG. How often is fog a problem with the ship getting to port? If we book a 2:30 p.m. flight should we stay an extra day in Tampa and fly out the following day? Corby114 Posted January 6, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2023 Fog tends to be a problem during certain times of the year. To play it safe stay overnight in the Tampa area and schedule a flight for the next day.
hrhdhd Posted January 6, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2023 Cobbled together from an article in the Tampa Bay Times: December is often the beginning of a fog season that typically runs through February across Tampa Bay, said Rodney Wynn of the National Weather Service.
Ashland Posted January 6, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2023 We had no problem arriving at the Tampa port from our Panama Canal itinerary this past October. We booked a 2:30pm flight day of arrival and I wish we had booked something earlier.
Pyrate13 Posted January 7, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2023 Fog is a common issue in Tampa during winter months. Will it be there every day, of course not, but can you predict it way ahead of time, of course not. Sure, like the above poster there will be days without the issue but don't count on it.
