twobeautifulgirls Posted January 6, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2023 Can anyone please explain the advantages of booking as a group if we have 8 cabins? What perks are there? Is the price discounted? What are the disadvantages? Do all cabins need to be the same category?

Book 8 and receive 1 person's fare free. Average of category fares. No perks.

For every 8 cabins booked in a group you get the average of the cruise fare either as a rebate or you can deduct it from one or more guests cruise fare. Keep in mind what you see as a cruise fare on Royals site is not the cruise fare that you will get a credit for. In additional to not including taxes and fees Royal also has what they call an NCCF (non commissionable cruise fare) built into their pricing which ranges from $25 pppd to nearly $50 pppd depending on the ship. Newer ships have a higher NCCH. On a 7 day sailing this could mean close to $300 of the cruise fare not being included in the average cruise fare.
