DougH Posted January 11, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2023 If I make a upgrade bid as a single do I bid as a per person price or for two? For example if the cabin upgrade is listed as$200 pp do I bid $200 or $400?
jagoffee Posted January 11, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2023 If you win a bid at $200 per person, it will cost you $400 if you win. (Normally)
DCThunder Posted January 11, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2023 I'm a solo traveler and I've been offered attractive looking upgrades (before this bidding system started) and the small print always said something like "solo travelers pay double". Nelsj099 Posted January 14, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 14, 2023 I bid for an upgrade and won as a solo traveler yesterday. I did have to pay double the bid, but that was part of what I considered when making the bid. I went from obstructed view window to a balcony room on the Aloha deck. I am right under the pool but don't care way better than my obstructed window and for 260 total.

You will be by the end of the cruise... They start arranging all those deck loungers REALLY early!

Nelsj099 Posted January 18, 2023 #8 Share Posted January 18, 2023 I haven't left China in 3 years. Deck chairs, Fireworks for Chinese New Year. It is just going to be a loud week no matter where I am. I also live in a Chinese apartment building, and was a summer camp counselor so sleeping is not an issue. 😃

This is true if there is just one person in a cabin or two.
