Move Up - Perks included question

The move up link for my sailing next month shows Royal Suite includes premium beverage package, premium wifi and unlimited specialty dining.  The other suite categories do not include that bullet.  My current booking was cruise only and we have purchased 2 drink packages, premium internet and 3 dining reservations totaling close to $1500.  If I successfully bid on the RS, would they refund the pre-purchases for the newly included items?  I know I could cancel them myself if the bid was accepted prior to sailing but I've heard of occasions where the cabin transfer has happened after check in.  If I was to be refunded, I could bid higher to offset the money I've already laid out.

Thanks!

I don’t think that is correct so I would call and ask. I looked at our moveup offers and it says the same thing for RS and above.

When you successfully bid on a moveup, you typically keep your original perks (in your case, none except which you purchased separately). You would get the amenities listed for the cabin as listed on the Celebrity website:

Exclusive services and amenities

  • Complimentary bottled water, soda, and beer stocked daily
  • Unlimited lunch and dinner in all specialty restaurants
  • Two complimentary bottles of premium spirits
  • VIP canapés
  • Complimentary laundry service (twice per cruise)
  • Priority luggage delivery

I would say that you would need to cancel your paid Specialty restaurants reservations and have the shoreside concierge book your speciality restaurant with no charge.

I also believe a RS amenity includes a four device premium internet.

You will need to pay a higher rate for gratuities.

What is your cruise cabin category?  I assume it was a Casino rate?

We are in a C2 right now. Yes, it’s a blue chip booking.

From my search, it seems as though the drink package does not come with the room so it would not be included. The email certainly makes it appear differently. I’m leaning to staying in our room and skipping the bidding.

Thanks everyone for responding.

The perks that came with your booking and any purchases will stay with you.   The perks that come with the room you will gain.

For a Royal Suite you only get the Premium Drink Package and Internet if you purchase it full fare.  You will however get the Room Perks -  Unlimited Specialty Dining, Bar Setup with 2 Liter Bottles of your Choice and Mixers as well as Free Laundry (it says 2x but normally they will not charge unless you abuse)
