Jewel whiskey/bourbons

On the Jewel.  As usual, love the ship, love the crew.  However, NCL whiskey and bourbon, what little the have, priced crazy.  True I do have the $15 max drink package. But the lowly Bullitt neet $16 an ounce.  Buffalo Trace $16, and Woodford Reserve $23 an ounce.  The only one they have now under is JD#7 at $15.   But, the pizza in the buffet is the best cruise ship pizza I’ve ever had.  Guess I’ll eat pizza instead of drink.

I hope they get some lower priced whiskeys/bourbons before the end of September when we get on her in Alaska.  Pizza isn't really a good substitute for bourbon...

We're going on the Jewel at the end of March.  I've thought about upgrading the drink package to the premium but not sure if it's worth it.  I really like bourbon as well and am disappointed in the choices.

Found out last night they have a house brand of unknown origin.   It was actually ok and under $15.  You have to ask for it.

Did they actually have Buffalo Trace? That is very hard to find in our area.

My feelings exactly.  I had some OBC to use and got a pour, no water, no ice.  It could not have been more than a very measured one ounce. I signed for an additional $9.60 on top of my $15 drink

package allowance.   Insane!

The Woodford Old Fashioned is included though at one bar (usually Maltings) but I know that may be too sweet for some.

They list Bullitt in the Matador which you can find at the Local or Osheehans but that’s sweet too

Only on NCL. Their sister company Oceania sells Woodford for $12. Think about that for a minute.
