When I was in High School, I worked part-time for a local department store.  They paid us in cash, and we'd find $2.00 bills in our pay envelopes.

Since this thread is just circling in the ocean.....

 

Newly manufactured cars have a lot of rubber on them.  Tires, hoses, belts, seals, etc.  Rubber has a real problem with aging.  If a car has zero miles and was manufactured three years ago, it most certainly ain't "new."  That said, I don't believe that rubber is a component in US currency. 😝

Although, tbh, probably not as over dramatic as "amazing". 

 

Even at the suggested minimum wage of $15/hr, $2 only gets you 8 minutes....not sure that is the level I'd call "amazing".

In addition to Loonies ($1) we also have Toonies ($2) coins. Paper $1 went the way of the Dodo bird in 1987, and I believe the Toonie came out around 1996.

Note: The pledge of allegiance has been changed many times. That whole “under god” bit wasn’t in the pledge at all until 1954. So, just saying there have been plenty of changes. Perhaps this is valid.

i bought a tshirt with those 2’s. and did t think I had enough cash.   The on girl was gonna go into her wallet to pay for my balance when i ran out of cash for my shot glass and forgot I had 2.00’s in my other pocket. Lol 

so I paid here in the 2.00’s     Did t get that pic.   So. I gave her 7 2’a total.  
So no I didnt tip here.  She was gonna actually pay for mine. Lolol.

We’ll back from Belize.   
And todays haul with 2.00 bills.   
Spent 5-2.00 bills for my purchases.  
6.00 for the magnet and shot glass. 3-2.00.    And 4.00 for the local currency. 

And not an issue at all.   Again.  
So every port so far.   
Cozumel tomorrow.  
 But I’m sure I won’t have issues spending them there lol.  
wont be doing much shopping there.  
maybe just a magnet and a shirt for my cat sitter.   

 

Then PR,Haiti,St Thomas.   On my last cruise of Jan.    Stay tuned.  Lolol
