Yes if you book it they will send you a confirmation of the booking, and you can cancel anytime. I remember not being sure myself when I first booked this lot because of what is said about Fridays but I think that is only effective in mid summer when the lot is filled with pax from the NCL ship that leaves on Friday nights to Bermuda. If you throw in other dates earlier during the summer for longer cruises the lot is shown as not available because it is already totally sold out. Here there are still openings.

Oh ok. Thanks!

Not sure if it's the same lot, but IIRC there have been a number of discussions here on CC about this very lot. I believe we're referring to the C1 and C2 lots right next to the cruise pier, and next to the Boston police harbor patrol office, easily found on Google Maps/Street View, on Black Falcon Ave immediately west of the terminal building.  I recollect a number of users/cruisers saying that they used the C1 lot recently with no problems, but upon arrival had to call the phone number on the sign, to have the attendant walk over from the C2 lot right next door to let them in.  I too would very much want to use the covered garage you mention, but a number of folks here on CC keep saying that cruise ship parking is very much discouraged at that lot. When you visited their office, did you mention that you were getting on a cruise ship, and if so, what was their reaction?  Thanks for info....

So it does say it only has an attendant on fridays. But someone else said that is just for the Bermuda cruises that leave on Fridays in the summer. But in any event, if I reserve this lot and there is no one there, I can call a number or even just go to the C2 lot and ask someone to come over to assist me? Do you or anyone know the phone number to call if no one is there?

I just booked it. Fingers crossed that it works. I'll make sure to get there early.

I checked the lot on Google Street View. here's a blow up of the C1 lot sign. Hard to read but the number agrees with the ABM phone number for the C1 lot, 617-482-2487

Oh my goodness! You are the best. Thank you for finding this!

No problem, glad to help. If you do use the C1 lot, please report back and let us know how it went.  The C1 lot is clearly the most convenient, so we would prefer to use it over the alternatives.

Will do. I don't go until September though.

Hi.  Just wanted to let you know that my and many in my roll call's payment was refunded yesterday because they said that lot is only open on Fridays!

Thanks very much for the confirmation. I had heard about the Friday-only rule for that lot, but we will be sailing on a Sunday. We will start with the Marine Garage and if we can't in there we will head over to the "official" lot on Fargo St. We would prefer a covered garage but we will have to take what we can get.

Yes, i think C1 is only staffed for the weekly Norwegian cruise out of Boston.

Does anyone know of why only Norwegian has access to this lot? I thought someone said that if there is no one there, there is a phone number to call and someone will come open the gate. Very frustrating. My cruise is 15 days and the C1 rate was $200 plus fees, the 'official' cruise port lot is $450 plus fees.

I had also heard about this. According to our good friend Google, there are actually two lots side by side, C1 and C2, right alongside a lot belonging to the Harbor Patrol Police, all three being the closest lots to the terminal. Although I had read about being able to call a number to have someone "open up" lot C1, Google Maps/Street View show those two lots as being VERY small, maybe 70 or 80 cars each. Not sure they would work for parking cars from multiple cruise ships on a weekend. We're definitely going to start with the ABM Garage, with the main cruise terminal lot as a fallback

Hi! I am cruising for 17 days in August and I booked the "official" lot on Fargo for $210 plus $10.50 service fee. While I'd prefer to be closer, etc. I wanted to make sure that I didn't have any hassles the day of the cruise. My question is does anyone have a picture of this lot? Trying to verify which of the many lots this is using google earth and other street level tools has been difficult.

I agree, Google isn't much help, as there are different date stamps on the various views of the lot at 93 Fargo, between Street View and the satellite overhead view.  None of them are recent enough to show the summer 2024 Cruise parking set up.  When I enter 93 Fargo in the search box it says the lot is at the location of the little red teardrop.  BTW, how did you get such a great rate for 17 days? The asking price for our 7 day trip leaving next Sunday is $220

It's just a plain parking lot, nothing special. On cruise day, they run a shuttle back and forth.

Thanks for this. Street level maps don't have anything that is marked as the cruise parking.

Well, geez . . . I looked up my receipt, it appears that when I booked they had it as a 7 day cruise and that's how it was booked. Since it was automatic on their site, I didn't pay enough attention. I went back in  and now with service fee it's over $500. I guess it was too good to be true! Oh, bother!!

Any idea on exactly how one enters and exits the lot? Assuming we have a pre-paid booking do they use QR scanners at the entrance?  Is it possible to just drive up without a reservation?

That's a great question. There isn't a QR code on the parking voucher. I guess they could send one closer to the use date, but as of now there is only info about the parking timeframe and the license number of the car.

I haven't parked at the current lot, but the previous lot had a person to validate reservations and give out permits. No gates, just a chain.

Thanks, I imagine the new lot on Fargo will work the same way. So arrival and departure aren't through a mechanical computerized gate where you scan a QR code or enter a credit card and the arm lifts, you simply talk to a human and show them your reservation? That's how Brooklyn parking worked last time we used it, though we paid them on the spot rather than pre-booking.
