Whale watching in San Pedro?

Whale watching tours in San Pedro can supposedly be booked with LA Harbor Sportfishing in San Pedro, but I've never used them so I have no idea if they go out every day or not.

Next to the World Cruise Center is the home berth of the USS Iowa battleship. If you've never been on a WWII fighting ship before, it is a great experience.

It's a rather cheesy 'Hollywood' website, but: https://www.whalewatchinginla.com/ have a dock in San Pedro, and the Cabrillo aquarium also arranges trips at times.

Caveat - while we had planned to do one of these a few years back, the timing of the port day didn't work for us (it was a Coastal RT, rather than starting or ending at San Pedro). Whenever we get round to taking a cruise that starts or ends here, we're definitely going to go out whalewatching - I've yet to check off Blue Whale from my list, and southern Cali waters are one of the more reliable sighting areas.
