Summit B2B review from a Celebrity first-timer

We have been on the Summit 10+, as recently as last June. Our next is in April(b2b)in accessible cabins(first concierge, 8176 then Aqua, 9164) both aft facing. Your review was well organized and informative - we agree that the Persian gardens and spa are disappointing on M class ships(just got off the Reflection in Aqua). Food is always subjective to individual palates and background, but your review indicates that Celebrity hasn’t cut back enough that a first time cruiser would know it. I’ll write my observations when it’s our cruise from a perspective of twenty yeas sailing on the Summit(this has been one of our favorite ships of our 80+ cruises), and another Aqua cruise in August.

Qsine "Le Petit Chef"

Before sailing, I prebooked a diner at Qsine for the Le Petite Chef because I've never done anything like that before and the menu looked good. When I was there, there were only about 5 tables for the 6:00 dinner, which was very surprising. The table next to me complained nonstop that the menu changed. I have no idea what the menu used to be, but it was correct in the app. Whine less.

I thought the food was delicious with the tomato tart being a surprising favorite of mine. So fresh. The "show" was really cute and it was nice to do something new and different. I don't think I'll do it again unless I'm traveling with someone who has never done it before though.

We had our dinner reservation at Le Petit Chef on beyond canceled since they didn’t have enough people, we went next night, we book this every cruise it does help that the top suites have specialty restaurants for free. Looking forward to summit in 54 days.

Glad you enjoyed Celebrity Summit!  Can you tell me how your turn around day worked?

I knew I was forgetting something important!

I got a note in my cabin to meet in the Rendezvous lounge at 8:45. I kept the same cabin which was SO NICE. I had a leisurely morning and didn't have to pack anything up. Everyone gathered in Rendezvous and they checked our names off a list. They also provided some pastries, coffee, and juice. Around 9:20 or so, they escorted us off in a line, we went through facial recognition, and walked right back onto the ship. From the time I stepped off to the time I stepped back on was less than 10 minutes.

It was so weird being on the cruise with only 20 other passengers. Boarding for the next sailing started about 11, so we had a little over an hour to have the ship to ourselves. They kept your seapass from the first cruise, but I got it back at the end of the second cruise.

I've heard about cutbacks, but since I had nothing to compare it to, I didn't feel disappointed at all. I think they are still putting out a very high-quality product that is worth the price paid.
