9876 Posted January 24, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 24, 2023 How much is the tax for parking at Port Canaveral per day? I understand you pay for arrival and departure days but nowhere can I find the tax rate. I will be going on a four night sailing so it will be five days of parking. hrhdhd Posted January 24, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2023 Looks like tax in Brevard County is 7%. You can call the port at 321-783-7831 for more info.
9876 Posted January 25, 2023 Author #3 Share Posted January 25, 2023 I called but no answer. I will try again tomorrow. Thanks.
bajathree Posted January 25, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2023 All I can say is that Port Canaveral isn't cheap parking. I recently did a 3 night sailing from there and was shocked what it cost for parking for such a short sailing.
9876 Posted January 25, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted January 25, 2023 I just talked to the port. They said $17 per day plus 7% tax. You pay for the day of arrival and departure. For a four night cruise I will be paying for five days. I personally am shocked at the parking price for all the cruise and airport facilities but that is part of the price of admission. Oh well. The parking at the terminals at Port Canaveral is convenient and you do pay for that convenience. There are off site lots that would save you some money, but then you take a shuttle between the lot and terminal, so it is a bit less convenient. Capt_BJ Posted January 25, 2023 #7 Share Posted January 25, 2023 these 3 off site spots tend to cost a little less and are all no more than 10 minutes away from any of the terminals (which one is nearest depends on which terminal and how you measure). Who has best price varies as they all change price regularly in active competition ... right now one of these is $9/day .... and another is 'free' if you stay at certain hotels . . . yes a shuttle ride is involved ... is that worth $10/day???? (less than the cost of 1 mixed drink on the ship) https://parkncruiseportcanaveral.com/ https://www.parkportcanaveral.com/ https://portparkingspace.com/
GTO-Girl Posted January 26, 2023 #8 Share Posted January 26, 2023 Park Port Canaveral is about a mile from the port. Nice paved fenced in lot with shuttles running continuously. Be sure to use the discount code at the top of their website for the best deal…
Txdnadoc Posted January 27, 2023 #9 Share Posted January 27, 2023 On this topic, how long does it take to get parked and into the check in line? I have a 1030 check in time and am staying in a hotel 45 minutes away. If I park at the terminal, how much time do I allow to get there, park, etc? Thank you!
