Sport Fishing trip out of Miami/Ft Lauderdale?

Has someone been on a sport fishing trip out of Miami/Ft Lauderdale? 

Mr is very happy for fishing and it would be fun to try a "hot" water fishing experience. 

 

Any recommendations? feedbacks on yes/no?

I haven't been on one but living in Ft Lauderdale I can tell you there are many to choose from. I cant give a recommendation to one but if you do a google search I am sure you will find much info and choice.

For Fort Lauderdale, check out  https://www.visitlauderdale.com/things-to-do/sports-recreation/fishing/ ( a link from the www.sunny.org official tourism website).  You might check to see if there are TripAdvisor reviews for that kind of 'excursion.'

Lady Pamela Fishing and Capt Taco out of Fort Lauderdale are two recommended fishing companies. If your looking for a cheap drift boat that does four hour runs then I would check out the Flamingo in Fort Lauderdale too.

wondering if you have any idea what kind of $ you are looking at 

 

an average 1/2 day charter deep sea trip in Miami will run in the $1000 range ....

 

a 'party' drift boat around $70 per person

Bumping up this thread. Any suggestions for fishing charters in Miami? Looking for 2-4 hour charter. I found one on TripAdvisor (will not name)  but it has a number of bad reviews.
