No matter what our agent tried to do , Oceania would not add the Promo to an existing cruise, claiming it is for new bookings only. So I am really puzzled how some agents are able to get O to do this and others not.

I reread the 20th Anniversary Terms & Conditions & as you can read it does not state that it is for new bookings only. My TA simply called Oceania & the OBC was quickly added to my existing cruise only reservation which is included in the 20th Anniversary promotion.

I booked online myself for a May cruise. Thanks to this thread, I called Oceania yesterday and it was added to my booking. It took awhile since a supervisor had to approve it, but received the email notification while I was still holding for the agent to get back to me...🙂

However,  the $250 SBC from O in lieu of TA paying gratuities was removed.

Our paid gratuities we received based on our travel agency being a Virtuoso member were also not combinable with the 20th anniversary promotion but we’re still better off with the 20th offer. 🙂

In our particular case, as per our travel agent, adding the $600 on board credit from the 20th Anniversary Promotion will cost us just a bit more overall since

-The cruise fare increased since we booked it last year (my travel agent says the entire reservation needs to be rebooked with the current price??).

-We will lose the prepaid gratuity benefit we already have.

So, that’s how the cookie crumbled for us.

Boo.
