fndecker Posted January 26, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2023 I know about the trolley all around south beach and north beach, but I think there is one for mainland miami also, correct? And if so, how do you get over the bridge between the two? I'm staying on S. Beach before the cruise, but want to get back on the mainland and then have to either leave from there to the terminal or leave after checkout from S. Beach
CruiserBruce Posted January 26, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2023 The far better place for your research would be the Florida Departures board, here: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/386-florida-departures/
Capt_BJ Posted January 27, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2023 https://www.miamigov.com/Transportation-Roadways/Trolley-Information NOTE: The City of Miami trolley does not go to Miami Beach. If you need to, you can View Miami Beach Trolley. https://www.miamibeachfl.gov/city-hall/transportation/trolley/
loanshark Posted January 27, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2023 It will cost a few dollars, but you can catch the 120 bus in South Beach on Washington Ave at 13th St, 9th St or 5th St. It will go from South Beach to downtown, eventually ending at the "Government Center" metrorail stop. From there, you’ll be able to walk to the Coral Way Trolley, which will take you to the port. To get to the trolley, walk East (go under the metrorail tracks) approximately 1/2 block to SW 1st Ave. Turn right and go South, crossing Flagler Ave, then make a right turn onto SW 1st St. Go up the street under the metrorail tracks again, and you will see the benches for the trolley stop on the left. loanshark Posted January 27, 2023 #5 Share Posted January 27, 2023 Note - this is not a recommended route if you are travelling with luggage, as it would be much easier to use uber or lyft.
