Food Republic on the dining package

We're set to go on Joy in July and was wondering how the free dining package worked in if ti was used in Food Republic. Would it still be 1 app/soup/salad 1 entree 1 dessert? Seems as if you would get as much bank for buck with that.

Thanks in advance

You'll receive 4 menu items per person.

https://www.ncl.com/specialty-dining-package/faq

All Specialty Restaurant menu items are included except Seafood Platter in Raw Bar. An SDP meal in a la carte restaurants includes 1 appetizer, 1 soup or salad, 1 main course and 1 dessert (does not apply to cover charge restaurants or Food Republic, Pincho Tapas Bar and Sushi, where a meal includes any 4 menu items). SDP does not include beverages and additional and/or premium menu items will incur charges.

Yes, 4 items per person--most say this is WAY too much food.

I have heard people just getting 4 items & just use 1 specialty credit to do it.

Or just pay out of pocket.

This is what we do...2 of us, 2 trips with each using their credit or if we use our credit at another restaurant, we pay out of pocket.  2 items each is more than enough.

We have actually split a single credit (4 items) between three people at lunch.  That works great when you just had breakfast a few hours ago and have an early dinner reservation.

Do they allow that at dinner?
