Just another reason why people choose not to share tables with people they do not know.

That's your prerogative.  Not a problem, I was the only male dining with 4 ladies at a table for 8.  All solos and 3 diners on Casino free offers.

Eat your heart out.😉

If you were to ask me to get you an extra lobster tail, even as a tablemate after 12 nights, I'd capture you on video and you'd be on youtube the same evening😁

Agreed.  There's no way I would ever feel comfortable asking others at my table (that I wasn't traveling with) for their lobster.

And all you got was a tiny lobster.

At least it is just lobster. I saw an article about carnival wanting to charge $5 for each entree after 2 have been ordered. I wonder how many entrees some folks get? I’ve never ordered more than 2 and it is almost always cause I’m not sure I’ll like one of them. Guess I’m guilty of waste like some other folks which is probably what got us here. I’ll start ordering a single entree and send it back if it isn’t good like I would in any other restaurant.

Absolutely no way am I cutting my tips to these poor servers who are taking the brunt of complaints!!   It was not their decision nor their fault!!

If you want to complain e-mail corporate!!!!!

I wouldn't cut my tips (we always pre-pay), but I may not tip as much extra if the experience has been diminished, for whatever reason.  The extra tips we give are discretionary.

I think wastage was part of the issue. People ordering big and not intending to eat all of it, just to feel like they got their monies worth.

Anyway, sea cockroaches aren't that special.

Some people are purposely over ordering. They have caused this in the long run.

I've had table mates that I feel I've come to know well enough to order me a second lobster by night 6 of a cruise.  Unless they're wearing shorts in the MDR, in which case THEY ARE DEAD TO ME.

(This may be the funniest thread I've ever read on here.  Not because I think anyone is being unreasonable, just because people seem to have quite strong opinions on the various intersecting subjects and it's fun to see how they play out in hypothetical scenarios.)

We were just on Radiance and our waiters were terrified of anything going wrong. One of their friends was fired because he brought more than 1 entrée at a time to the table for a person. New rule is 1 item at a time. We could also tell they were shorthanded. They had some problems getting things to us "on time" and even to the right person. We could see the stress and of course it transfers to us somewhat. We have never had an issue with staff to a point we could complain. The current menu however is a different matter and we actually skipped 2 nights because of the selections.

@jencruzin- you are my HERO even though we will probably be called out for it. I would be doing the exact same thing.

Why do you have a fixation with free Casino offers - not quite sure what the correlation is  to you getting yourself a free lobster tail which you have already agreed is not worth it? Am I supposed to be envious that you have a free cruise?

Sorry to say, I don't doubt they'd be the same people who pig-out at a buffet restaurant walking back to the table with food falling from the overloaded plate.  Food waste, entitled over-eaters.  Let 'em pay more for the gluttony.

Do 75% of cruisers sail for a free second lobster tail?  The disproportionate amount of posts and comments about them are insane.  FWIW, lobster is extremely easy to cook at home.  Most grocery stores run specials, even better at Costco or Sam's.  For easily $5-10 a tail, you can eat until stuffed.  Steam or broil for a few minutes, melt some butter, and you are all set.

Did you discuss this with the maitre - if you wanted more than 1 at a time?

Why does anyone need more than one starter or main course or dessert at a time? You can only eat one at a time so why order more if there's a real possibility that you may not finish it? It's wasteful, it's greedy, and it's entitled.
