The oldest ships I have cruised on are Disney Wonder (loved it) and NCL... The kids club looks good for our 5 and 4 year old but if you have feedback happy to hear it. The pizza good? 🙂 The Caribbean's older sisters, Golden and Star, transferred to P&OAU, It's been speculated the Caribbean will also transfer there soon for perhaps another 10 or 15 years of service. Point is, a cruise ship can last 30 to 40 years. Many prefer these Grand Class ships over the newer Royal Class. Will take other's word there is a program for kids, but Princess does not really market to them. There's something in that. Pizza is very good! cruisecrazy82 Posted February 10, 2023 #27 Share Posted February 10, 2023 Loved the Caribbean Princess ship and especially the crew! I wish all cruise ships had the wrap around promenade deck like the Caribbean has too. Go and have the best time!

It is very helpful for parents and free.
Ace_Caliente Posted February 11, 2023 #29 Share Posted February 11, 2023 Since we're talking the Caribbean Princess - Does anyone know if there's a map which labels the "blank" areas on the different decks or gives some indication? Specifically I'm wondering what the whited out area at the aft of Emerald deck is - as in, is it a noisy space?

Emerald Deck is one deck above where Caribbean Princess is written. Nice wake view! As a general rule of thumb though, avoid a cabin next to a white space, a workers corridor, housekeeping storage... in use at all hours. To @BamaVol, we've been above clubs and the theater and noise has not been a problem. I'm uncomfortable below one of the pools.

It depends which ship and where the cabin is located. We were on the Coral on the Emerald deck, in the very last aft cabin. The club never bothered us. I’m sailing on the Caribbean Princess 3/2. Coincidentally, my cabin is on the Emerald deck. I can try asking my cabin steward what’s in the white space. The white area on the Caribbean Princess deck plans at the far aft of the Emerald (and other) deck on both sides of the ship are crew stairs used in emergencies only providing easy access to Club Fusion which is a major muster area. We'll be on a thrice postponed (due to Covid) family cruise in July in the last three cabins on the port side.
MJC Posted February 12, 2023 #35 Share Posted February 12, 2023 CB was last in drydock April 2019. Then she sat for a while during the pandemic so the refurb looked like new. Here is an after video: https://youtu.be/fiiyXqdDUsQ We thought she looked beautiful and the crew was wonderful. When your kids are occupied at the kids club, check out the Lotus Pool up by the spa. Adults only, very peaceful. Soft serve ice cream is available by the pool, a fun treat. We've only stayed in Vista suites on the starboard side and have had no noise from the club below. We especially liked the Medallion feature that lets you see where your family is. We could check the screen and see where the other one was when we did separate activities. ltcpda Posted February 16, 2023 #36 Share Posted February 16, 2023 I have been on Princees for five cruises and always had a great experience. One ship was 14 years old and I was needlessly concerned. Cruising is about the entire experience - the guests you meet, the extraordinary service, food, entertainment both in the theater and lounges, and a chance to see a portion of the world. Have a positive attitude and I'm certain you will enjoy!
