Just got off the phone with Captains Club dialing the above number. They were going to transfer me to Blue Chip Club since my sailing is a casino comped cruise but after 20 minutes on hold (the original customer service agent was actually on hold to transfer the call ) the agent proactively asked her supervisor if she can go ahead and process the wifi purchase and was given the OK, so all went well and I was given both the pre-cruise discount AND the Elite+ discount!

We have upcoming free BCC cruise. I called general 800 number yesterday and they were able to sell me Wi-Fi package and apply my elite plus discount without any fuss.

They do stack. We are elite going on Reflection on 2/19 and Beyond 2/26. One device cheapest WiFi service is $83.93 for the week.  That is $11.99 a day. We will get 90 minutes premium internet also.  We’ll get that on ship when it is best time to use it. Also, remember that St. Thomas is US, so we can use our Verizon phone package there just like at home.

The 90 minutes free wifi..is it per cabin or per member?

Per member

Thank you!

I was planning to pre-book a one-device premium wi-fi for our 10 days cruise. If I do this I assume my husband can use his free 90 min. separately on his phone. So my 90 min perk is lost, right?

Can I use it onboard first and then book the remaining days as a package or the wi-fi package has to be bought only for the whole duration of the cruise?

I

I just called the Captain's Club line and tried to get them to stack the discounts for a 4-device Premium package with no luck.  They insisted it was a 30% discount off the full price, not the pre-cruise price.  I even hung up and called back but they said the same thing.

Is it possible the discount can be stacked on the upgrade but not on the packages themselves?

I just called Celebrity about a separate issue with my reservation, and the agent noticed I'd purchased a 4-device wifi package.  She said she wanted to make sure I was aware that when it says "4 devices" it means I can use up to 4 different devices (e.g. my cell phone, tablet x 2, laptop) to log in over the course of the cruise ), but only 1 of those 4 devices can be on the internet at a time.

Is this correct?  It seems absurd to pay ~$140 for each additional device and not be able to use them simultaneously.  I wanted to have 4 devices so my sister, brother, and sister-in-law in other cabins can use my login but I pay for everyone.

The representative you spoke to is wrong.  If you have a four device plan, it means that four separate devices can been connected at any given time.  It can be four of your devices or one device each for four people.

Well, that was your first mistake as X customer service seems very uninformed with the actual onboard experience.  @DaKahuna nailed it and I'll expand...

1)  Prices for devices are in your cruise planner, it does get slightly cheaper (per device) with the more devices and is not a fixed amount

2)  If you buy the 4 device plan, you can use up to 4 devices at the same time

3)  Your actual devices do not matter, you can bring 8 devices and log them all in at different times

BONUS, some devices (PC laptops, Pixels, etc) have a hotspot feature that will turn an incoming wifi signal into a hotspot allows you to connect multiple devices. Unfortunately the iPhone's hotspot doesn't work that way and requires cell phone reception

Just be aware that you with multi device plans you use the same login and password. So if you want to share the plan with someone else that's not an issue, they just have to login with the same wi-fi account info as you.

No, you should have the option to use your 90mins once you log in.

I had the same experience calling Captain's Club.  The agent wanted $140 to upgrade from Classic to Premium.  The next day, I called the main number and the person was very knowledgeable.  Paid $60 which I had expected to be the amount.
