carguy Posted February 14, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2023 How much wine and soft drinks does Princess allow you to take on at embarkation ?
MissP22 Posted February 14, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2023 Without having to pay a corkage fee, 1 bottle per person. Otherwise as much wine, as you can carry. Soft drinks.... we carry 3 or 4 1 liter plastic bottles each & it's worked out fine.
mtnesterz Posted February 14, 2023 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2023 (edited) Agree with MissP22. For you, with a long commute to a departure port, it comes down to a balancing act. How much of your luggage do you want to devote alcohol and sodas/mixers vs. just buying a package onboard? Sodas and mixers must be in cans or plastic, no glass. Bottle size on the wine is supposed to be 750ml, though I did see a guy with a 5L boxed wine. Don't know how that worked out. Whitewings2 Posted February 16, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 16, 2023 We usually take 12 bottles for a 15 day cruise. 2 are no fee and the rest $15 per bottle corkage. On board the bottles that cost $30 are really only a $5 bottle on land, so we take a $20 bottle and even with the corkage fee it's only $35 - a much better value. We just pick the bottles up in the town we are departing from and sit them on top of our case in a wine carrier while we wait to embark - very easy.
wowzz Posted February 16, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2023 I think corkage has now increased to $20 per bottle.

According to their published policy: Wine. 1 x 750ml bottle per adult without corkage fee for use in the cabin. Additional bottles are subject to a $20/bottle corkage, are marked and can be used anywhere on the ship. Soft Drinks. 12 cans per person.
