Hotels near AMTRAK in MIA or FLL.

Am thinking of taking Amtrak from GA to Miami or FLL instead of the insane airline routings.  I would have to overnight before and after cruise due to arrival and departure times of the trains.  I realize there may not be good hotels nearby, or restaurants, so if. It, what is taxi availability like at the stations?  I love trains, and would spring for roomettes for the 12 hr trips…. EM
