Requesting a cabin that might not be showing available

I know that this has been the case where Deluxe Balcony cabins are not showing available for just two people.

Anyhow, if anybody can tell me how they have had any luck getting a cabin that is not really showing, but it is still available?

I know this has been done many times.

But, even my TA did not have any luck.

Is there a particular department that has to handle this?

I really do wish there was some way to get the cabin and area we would like!

Plenty of availability is  still out there, over a year before sailing.

I asked my Princess Vacation Planner when there were no balcony cabins showing available on my preferred deck, only guarantees. She 

gave me several to choose from  including a deluxe balcony.

I was also able to have my PVP book a specific obstructed Deluxe balcony for me when they could not be booked online.

And sometimes it could mean there really is not a cabin in that area available.

One reason to use a PVP instead of a TA.

This is one of the reasons we use a Princess Vacation Planner. He always gets us our favorite cabin even when it shows not available.

Yes, it is well over a year out, and if you know how to search, you can see that all of these cabins are available.

 

I have had PVP who would not even acknowledge that these cabins were available.

The TA I am using is because she was able to get us what we should have gotten thru Princess, while our PVP was totally AWOL, and I could find absolutely nobody by calling Princess that would help.  This is not a PVP -vs- outside TA thing at all.

 

It is all about how much the agent knows, and how much they are willing to do  (contact the right person at the right department).

 

If anybody who has been successful at requesting a cabin can offer any help, I would love to hear from you!

Go to the web site and put in 3 persons, It worked for me. I then called my PVP and requested the cabin.

Yes,  the trick is to know a PVP who will do this.

Many will just say, no, not available, GTY only.
