Navigator questions, pls.

I have two questions.  First, my next booking, a 10-day, March, 2023, Sunfarer Eurodam cruise, does not appear in the "Pending" window.  What do I need to do to get this cruise included?  For what it is worth, this is a casino booking. I have checked in online by computer.

Secondly,  I downloaded the app in October, and registered it under DH's name.  Do I have to download it again under my name, or does the app recognize all parties on the booking?

The app doesn't recognize all parties on the booking. You will need your own log on.

So that means that the login's will have to be on separate phones?  If so, I will have to uninstall the one on mine since I installed it in DH's name.  I tried to uninstall it on my phone, but when I reinstalled it it was still in his name.  Do we really have to use this app?

You don't have to use it, but it makes things easier. You will get a paper daily program, but Navigator means you don't have to carry it around to remember things you wanted to do. You can also check menus, which is convenient if you're wondering what's for lunch or dinner at the Lido.

If you booked a tour through HAL, your tour ticket will be in Navigator. Paper tickets are not distributed, although you can get one printed. Given the short hours of the Shorex desk, that could be a hassle.  There are reports that some tours will scan your cruise card and accept that as a tour ticket, but I didn't see that happen.

I just looked at Navigator on my phone. I don't see a way to edit the account holder. But there is a contact given if you want to delete an account. Try emailing navigator.support@hollandamerica.com and put something like "change account" in the title so they know you aren't simply trying to delete an account.

I had the Navigator open to my shorex ticket.  I wasn't fumbling for it or confused or anything but this tour operator insisted that she use my cruise card. This was on the koningsdam in puerto vallarta in November of 2021.

Thank you for the mentioning the website.  I will try that.

As far as tour tickets go- both our tickets showed on both navigator apps.  So you could just use one app for that if that is all you need.  My hubby & I use only the one device while cruising, so share the app for daily activities & menus.

What is what I wanted to hear.  Thank you so much.

We did not load Navigator onto phone (it's old!).  We used our cruise card for excursions with no issue.

Are the excursion and other things, like restaurant reservations, automatically loaded on the cruise card?

Do you need a wifi connection on board to use the app? I wasn't planning on buying ship's wifi as we can use local connections on 21 of the 25 days of our port-heavy itinerary.

No, the app is "Intranet" through HAL so you don't need to buy wifi and works on the ship (airplane mode/wifi connected to HAL) but you wont have contact with Internet/emails/websites outside of HAL network.

It is best to have each passenger to have their own login as you can chat with each other while onboard and in different parts of the ship. You can also log in under different accounts so if you are logged in under 1 passenger, just log out and log back under your account. No need to delete app (for OP). DW and I do separate excursions so need separate accounts and we do a screenshot of the excursion tickets and just pull up the photo when in port so don't need to be connected to ticket. (We also had a tour guide want to scan our card instead of ticket so it depends on guide).

Cool I'd assumed it was an intranet - and then realised I was assuming

Oh that's a nice function - we had to use phones attached to walls on Cunard to chat to each other LOL

No. You do not need to uninstall the app, just log out from DH's account and log back in using your Mariner info and your account will show. My wife and I have the app on both of our phones but have used each other's phones at times. I have even let my sister-in-law use my phone to log in to check on her itinerary once.
