Every "world cruise" out there offers various versions of port choices. And what they miss on one version, they often pick up on the next season's offering.

 

Time of year, seasons and weather/ocean patters also are part of these final route choices.

This is a particularly good one due to its deep penetration into the South Pacific --Easter Island; Pitcairn Island....

I'm ok with skipping NA since it's easier for us to get to these ports on other cruises (or fly/driving). 

 

World Cruises change each year (ideally) and we like the ones that go to SE Asia and Africa (or follow Equator for ease of packing 😉). Since HAL 2020 did this first part (plus floating around Antarctica), we will wait for a different route. 

 

And looks like Fred Olsen has removed the casino, made Explorer's Lounge a tea area and put in some bright, colorful carpeting in the lounges and the old Pinnacle Griil, now called "Colours and Tastes". Not sure we can handle that for 100+ days. 🤣

Looks like an interesting itinerary, I like Pitcairn Island & Robinson Crusoe, I'm sure there are not many ships that visit there.

We visited Pitcairn on the first Maasdam InDepth cruise a few years, except we could not land (social restrictions about past islander criminal activity) but we got close enough to see the port docking area and town buildings,  some young waving people from the hills, and did slowly circle the entire island.  

 

You can see the original rudder from the Bounty in the Suva Museum in Fiji and the home of the author of Mutiny on the Bounty (part of his trilogy) outside of Papeete, Tahiti.

Yes same with the last World (2020) on Amsterdam.no passengers allowed except CAPT Jonathan, Henk, Eddie (Env Officer) and a few others where taken over to the island and returned to ship in exchange for cases of Budwiser. 😉
