steve3008 Posted March 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2023 (edited) Hi, Could someone please tell me Is it the rule or an exception that you can pay the difference to a higher category after final payment? I want to travel aqua but if the friends that are going don’t want to book Aqua I will be fine with concierge guarantee. Millennium class concierge are all pretty much the same right ? I Think veranda guarantee is dicey because there are some undesirable cabins. I was also thinking as the Aqua price has dropped if I wait I may get a better price. Worst case I have the concierge guarantee. if I pay for aqua there would be no credit or refund to go to a lower category ? Please let me know if I missed something or got something wrong. many thanks, Steve Edited March 1, 2023 by steve3008
Rare DCPIV Posted March 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2023 Yes, if you upgrade after final payment, then you just pay the difference at the time you upgrade. If you downgrade or refare to a lower price after final payment, you get the difference back as non refundable OBC.

I'm pretty sure this is no longer an option after final payment date. 1
Rare Jim_Iain Posted March 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2023 You can always upgrade to a better room - even in sub-classifications e.g. SS2 to a SS1 after final payment. You however can't downgrade to a lesser priced cabin after final payment and get a refund of price difference.
