"LIVE" from MSC Seascape - March 05, 2023

Hello everyone and good day..MSC Seascape has left Port Nassau for San Juan, PR. It will take a bit to get there as we have a day at sea tomorrow. We are scheduled to arrive in San Juan at 10am on Thursday.

I left the ship today around 10 only to see what the  progress was for the Port Nassau upgrade. The construction going on has closed the prior area of exit from when I was here in September 2022. Before I was able to see the status without leaving the Port area.

Now you must leave to the left of the Arrivals Center. I saw maybe 50 workers on just one building.  It appears  that Port Nassau may be serious about getting this open soon.

There are many new buildings, new landscaping and Palm trees, along with approach roadways and a lot of new lighting.

It should certainly create a new image for Port Nassau when all is done. We shall see. . .

Tonight is elegant night, so I already know I will order "Surf and Turf" along with Baked Alaska.

Here are a few pics from today.

Thanks for tuning in.

Many thanks Radio for your wonderful review of what I think is being such an enjoyable cruise on the MSC Seascape!...

Surely MSC needs reviews like this one on their boards. And all of us, regular MSC forum CC members whom very well know the product, we need reviews like this one as well!... Sadly MSC hasn't attracted many of the bloggers/vloggers/cruise reviewers of your caliber and that in turn reveals itself on most of the reviews we see on these boards.

But now, we have yours, as independent and at the same time as professional as the ones you do for other lines!... And for the ones whom are able to take a moment and carefully read your review, that gives plenty of well documented information on what an MSC cruise is like! I wholly prefer reviews like this that give an idea of what the real product is like, instead of hugely acclaim or hugely criticize the whole product under personal preferences!... At least there are some "urban myths" you're destroying out of this superb review; as for example that MSC has no activities on offer. Surely they have!...

Again: Many thanks to this brilliant work!... I don't know if I personally would to be so patient on professionally scanning dailies and doing so many wonderful professional photos and videos just to share with a relatively small CC audience!... Appreciate your holiday time the best!... All of us will be as grateful for that as we have been with those lots of information and nice work you're sharing with us!... I believe all the usual members here will agree with me!...

Have a nice sea day and a lovely cruise!... Oh, and a superb return home, obviously!...

Wow, thanks for the nice comments. "Your check is the mail"

I Love doing LIVE posts. I wish CC would update their "Select a Ship" on the MSC Boards.  You are unable to select Seashore or Seascape from the menu. . .

Thanks again for the nice comments.

Hello everyone and Good Morning. Welcome to DAY 4 of "LIVE" from MSC Seascape.
Happy International Women's Day. MSC will host a Women's Day
Celebration at 6PM in the Atrium on DECKS 5,6,7,8. The Atrium was already set up for the event at 4am.

We had to set our clocks 1 Hour FWD last night for a time change. I am sure that maybe a few passengers may have forgotten to do that.

Today will be a relaxing day at sea as we travel 780nm to San Juan, PR. We are scheduled to dock at Pier 4. That is the pier in San Juan that has the passenger terminal and Duty-Free shops. Usually, only Carnival PLC ships dock there, but it would be nice to check out the Duty-Free bargains there. . .

The 60's, 70's 80's Party is also today (10:45pm). They call it the "Sunshine Party" and I read a lot of positive reviews about it.
I really want to check out the "Master Chef at Sea" competition in the Chora Theater later this morning. There are a ton of activities throughout the day today, there is no way I could do them all.  I was however invited to be a judge at the Belly Dance Lessons. . . I'll have to see if I have time.

The weather today should be comfortable. The forecast is for clear skies and mild temperatures in the mid 70's (F)

Thanks for tuning in. . .

What type of band or bands are on board? Do the have a Rock or Pop (Top 40) band in the bars? Do the have a band outside by the pool?

Thx

There is a lot of Live music on board  (Latin, Rock, Disco, EDM, POP,  DJ, Classical, and classic rock) I have seen pop and jazz in the bars.

We just booked a 14 day on the Seascape. It's not until next February 2024 so lot of time to kill before then. (Though we do have two other cruises in between now and then to keep us distracted 😁

Your posts are a great way to start seeing what's in store for  ~ a year from now. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this!
