Our last trip on Glory we had an extended balcony cabin that was the last cabin before the aft cabins, so our view was quite a butt shot but it was close. This time around we splurged on an Ocean Suite midship.

DW was very disappointed in our standard balcony after being in the extended. Trouble is on our last cruise we upsold to a Vista Suite and then with the Ocean Suite this time I'm afraid she may not ever be happy with a standard balcony again (which is what we have booked for Mardi Gras next April).

here’s another reason Saint Greg’s reviews are the best (won’t let me tag for some reason)…. I remember how he kept getting seated at a shared table, so I made sure to talk to super important iPad hostess lady and sure enough…. Despite not clicking the apparently worthless “seat me at a shared table,” I was out at one. So I asked for my own table, and she was very sweet and helpful, but basically had to make me a new reservation. So now, I’m everything I hate - standing here outside the restaurant waiting for my reservation to hit. Again.

It’s nice in here but definitely slow. I don’t mind, I don’t have anywhere to be… I was gonna go check out the Wave show with Cookie, but that’s no biggie, just a cruise by if I’m in the mood. Only negative to the wait is that I’m on my third cup of coffee now…..

Okay. There was a definitely a language barrier when I ordered. I had to point to things on the menu, etc…. he seemed kind of unsure, and that played out. Cause that ain’t salmon. 
 

 

the corned beef hash never showed up either, but honestly I didn’t need it. I went ahead and ate the ham, it’s fine, I don’t mind it, and I didn’t want to keep waiting. It was good.

If you get a chance, ask Cookie about the "Glory Hole", he was the cruise director on board when it happened. We sailed her the first week of Jan. 2020 when she was still patched together.
