Are the jacuzzi bathtubs in suites a good idea?

Was that pic of the pool from the Owner's Suite?  Hidden room that is huge?

Was the best experience! Check in at the port, whisked away with our Platinum cards (you get platinum for the trip) by an escort to our room. Cutting off the lowly "regular folk" at the elevator and straight to the top! Well worth it, if you get the chance!

As Tom said, it's directly under the jogging track...Can be annoying in the morning. All those health nuts, awakening me early after a long night in the casino!

The only time I have gotten in one was when we were on the second sailing of the Mardi Gras because I figured it was new enough it probably didn't have nastiness in it yet.  Otherwise, I am too grossed out.  I think they keep the chlorine levels high in the public hot tubs, but I am not convinced the ones in the rooms get cleaned regularly.

Same logic, same ship, same sailing 🙂

Think of the most disgusting thing possible that could be done in a hot tub, and it's likely been done, twice.

Toilets flush, (jetted) tubs recirculate.

Though, at the same time, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... right?  lol

Some of the newer tubs use jets of air, not water, and so are somewhat self cleaning. I don't know that I've seen those kind of tubs on ships but in nicer hotels they are starting to be more common at least, and perhaps in homes as well.

After I see people never leave a hot tub on the pool deck after drinking for hours, and once someone with a colostomy bag in the hottub, I just can't go in.  I don't even want to think of what may occurred in the prior sailing.  Sorry.  Only hottub I get in is at my house.  Looks cool but no thanks.

Like I said, I am not getting in a tub in a rented place. They can say they clean it and sanitize it. But all the nastiness that happens in it, no thanks. Now, if they had samples tested and posted of before and after bacterial testing, maybe. I just don't think they would ever want that information public.

That probably explains why they're replacing them with standard tubs as time goes on. Too much work for their ever-decreasing cabin steward crew.

The tubs were being replaced long before the conspiracy theories about staff. More likely maintenance costs were too high, if spares were even still available.

Find the cameras!

Well, in this image there is but one. I'm ok with where it's angled in this photo (I doubt the field of view would include me), unless it starts rotating. Now that would be cause for a meeting with the Captain !
