Mykonos Dock or Tender?

The port authority website -always more accurate & up-to-date than other websites - tells you which ships are there on a given day

https://mykonosports.gr/en/programma_krouazieras_01-03-23/

(don't panic - it has an English translation 😀)

But even that website doesn't quote times, or which ships will be berthed & which will be tendered.

For times you can trawl thro' the cruise lines' websites (good luck with that) but they'll be what they'll be. Unless they're changed.

And whether berthed or tendered may change last-minute due to wind and weather and other factors.

We were scheduled to port but that was switched on-the-morning because of winds, tides or whatever.

But whereas in most of the world berthed is so much easier than tendered, on Mykonos tendering was better - we were quickly and efficiently tendered right into the town harbour, whereas the cruise port is a couple of dusty miles out-of-town.

Since our visit, a waterbus shuttle has been introduced for cruise port to town harbour - by all accounts it's an excellent service costing only a few euros.🙂

So no worries whether you're berthed or tendered.

we were scheduled to tender but ended up at the pier, while 2 other ships tendered. So who knows ??

At the port entrance we caught a free shuttle to town, about 5 minutes, then walked a few blocks to town.  On the way back we chose to take the waterbus; it dropped us by the port entrance and cost 2e.
